What should I record first?
A useful proposal starts with a hardness measurement, source identification and peak household flow. A grain rating on a sales sheet is not a complete sizing method, and the same tank can have different usable capacity at different salt settings.
What changes the recommendation?
Review resin volume, salt dose, expected regeneration frequency and the manufacturer's operating limits. Include any measured iron or other incoming-water condition that could change pretreatment or resin suitability.
What should the service scope include?
Have the installer identify isolation, bypass, drain and air gap, power, salt-loading clearance and any irrigation separation. Agree on startup settings and a before-and-after hardness check, and retain the configuration for future service.
Apply the correct source evidence
For a Jupiter Farms household well, use property-specific sampling. Palm Beach County well-program guidance does not supply a universal chemistry result, and a Jupiter municipal report cannot characterize a private well. See the Jupiter Farms source guide before applying a report or selecting a treatment goal.
Review EPA private-well guidance for the appropriate source boundary. Source review: October 4, 2026. This guide provides decision questions; equipment selection and any safety-related interpretation require appropriate measurements and qualified advice.
